Who can subscribe to The Paralegal?

Everyone and anyone who wants to.

What does it cost?

Nothing, its free.

What do I receive?

You receive The Paralegal e-journal each month.

Can I copy items from The Paralegal?

Feel free to copy our own material. However, if you are going to copy third party material (e.g. where we have linked to an article in the Times newspaper then that third party's rules about copying apply and you have to seek permission from them, not us.

If you copy our material for an article, report or similar then the only requirement is that (a) we require a namecheck and (b) you do not resell information derived for free from us without our okay (which you will usually get no problem, but we like to be asked first).

What information do you want from me?

The bare minimum: your name and email address.

How do I subscribe?

Email us at office@ theiop.org (NB note break in link) with your name and email address.

How do I unsubscribe?

Use the unsubscribe facility at the foot of each email sent to you. Alternatively email us at office@ theiop.org (NB note break in link). But we need to have the exact email address we are sending too, otherwise we may not be able to find you on our lists to unsubscribe you (although we will try).

Is there anything else that I should know?

Two things:

1. If you don't hear from us, tell us. Usually we are sending The Paralegal to you but your ISP is blocking it. We can't monitor that, so won't know.

2. Tell your computer/employer's IT Department to add office@ theparalegal.org (NB note break in link)  to your list of safe senders.
