The Paralegal is the most popular e-journal serving the paralegal profession.
Our circulation is currently to just over 4,500 individuals who wish to receive the e-journal. Circulation continues to rise and subscription is available to everyone.
The Paralegal is published monthly.
The vast majority of subscribers are UK-based (including the Channel Islands and Isle of Man), but a significant number reside overseas.
The Paralegal is not the in-house magazine of the Institute of Paralegals. It is the premier source of information for practicing paralegals in the UK regardless of whether or not they are Institute members. Subscription is open to all those who wish to enjoy it.
2. Profile of Recipients
The largest single group of recipients are practicing paralegals. The other main groups of recipients are:
- Law firm training managers
- Law firm HR managers
- University law school staff
- Legal recruiters
- Diversity professionals
- legal careers advisers (universities, FE colleges and elsewhere)
- Solicitors in practice
- Government
- Local Law societies and Council members of the national Law Society
- Paralegal law firms
The majority of individual paralegal recipients do not work for law firms and are often the main legal adviser in their organisation, and thus frequently take buying decisions on the purchase of legal services and related materials.
3. Content & Journal of Record
Given that the majority of recipients do not work in the traditional legal profession, our goal is to bring to their attention relevant legal news and issues that they might otherwise not have had access to.
The Paralegal is the Journal of Record for paralegals. This means that if it is relevant, you will find it announced in The Paralegal.
4. Advertising Rates
Advertisements are placed in a specified edition of the e-journal. It remains in the archived version of the e-journal at no extra cost.
A wide strip banner advertisement (circa 728 pixels x 90 pixels) or a box advertisement (circa 190 pixels x 90 pixels) costs £95 per month.
Advertisements must be supplied in JPEG or GIF format and be designed for web display (i.e of a suitably small size/density). Advertisements must be 'static' because emails containing moving/changing/revolving advertisements are blocked by too many recipients.
